Privacy policy
TrafficWisp is designed to provide useful website analytics while collecting as little information about individual visitors as practical.
Information collected by the tracker
When a website uses TrafficWisp, the tracker may collect:
- the page path and referring website;
- an anonymous session identifier kept in the browser tab;
- country and broad device type;
- scroll milestones and interactions such as button, form, telephone, email, WhatsApp and outbound-link clicks; and
- the time the event occurred.
The tracker does not read form contents, store advertising cookies, collect names or email addresses from website visitors, or intentionally store full IP addresses.
Account and waitlist information
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address. If you create or use an account, we receive your name, email address, profile image and Google account identifier for authentication. We also store the websites and settings connected to your workspace.
Google Search Console
If you choose to connect Google Search Console, TrafficWisp requests read-only access. We use it to display search queries, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position for properties you select. You can disconnect Google from the dashboard. TrafficWisp does not change your Search Console data.
How information is used
We use information to provide and secure TrafficWisp, display analytics, operate accounts, respond to support requests, improve the service and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information or use visitor analytics for advertising profiles.
Storage, retention and service providers
TrafficWisp is hosted using Cloudflare services. Google provides account authentication and, when enabled, Search Console data. Information is retained while needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve security or support issues. Account owners may request deletion of their account and associated TrafficWisp data.
Your choices and rights
You can disconnect Search Console, exclude your own browser from tracking and remove websites through the dashboard. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or export personal information, or object to its use.
